November 9, 2017 Barton Creek Elementary Blue Jay Bulletin MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL TIFFANY PHELPS Patriotism is in the air as all of our students prepare for the Veteran's Day Assembly tomorrow. Every grade level had a part in making this assembly special. As I walked around campus today, I thought I would share some of what I heard from our students and what they contributed to making this a memorable day.
Kindergarten- "We celebrate the people that served our country." "They are strong, helpful, and powerful." And perhaps my favorite comment of the day…"They are so strong they can lift an abominable snowman."
"We are celebrating our flag and learning about their stories" "They are helpful, brave, and strong"
"We are honoring the people that serve and fight for us". "They go in the air like my papa." "They are loyal, our saviors, and wear camouflage."
"We are recognizing the people who protect us" "They sacrifice and are brave and strong."
"We honor people that served our country, like my grandfather." "We celebrate people that fought for us." "They are heroic, loyal, brave, strong, and courageous"
"We honor the special people that gave their lives for what we have today." "They leave the ones they love to fight for our freedom." "I think of honor, love, sacrifice, and freedom."
Barton Creek Baristas coffee cart service is up and running!
Special thanks to The Savino Family, The Suter Family and the BCE Booster club for making this happen with their generosity and support. We are so lucky to have such wonderful people in our lives to support our students.
