Dear Parents:

It's that time of year!  STAAR (State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness) is here! Next Tuesday, April 9th & Wednesday April 10th, our 4th & 5th grade students will participate in the following testing:

  • STAAR Writing Test 4/9/2019 (4th Grade)
  • STAAR Math Test 4/9/2019 (5th Grade)
  • STAAR Reading Test 4/10/2019 (5th Grade)

It is very important that your child is on-time and at school on these dates. To prepare your child for STAAR, we suggest that you encourage him/her to do their best and ensure that they:

  • Get a good night's rest
  • Eat a healthy breakfast
  • Get to school on time

We are also encouraging students to bring healthy snacks. Students will be able to eat their snacks during their STAAR Test. Students will not be allowed to wear any type of watch during the STAAR test, so if possible, please keep at home on testing days.

Let's make sure our Barton Creek Elementary students feel comfortable, well rested and ready to do their best on the STAAR Tests!

4th Grade Parents -

Eanes ISD provides several options for math in fifth grade. Students in fourth grade will have the opportunity to select 5th grade math or 5th/6th compacted math.  A letter explaining the process will be sent out on April 11th. To help guide you in this decision, please attend an Informational parent meeting in the cafeteria on Monday, April 16th, at 8:00 a.m.in the BCE Cafeteria.
