Nov 20, 2020 MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL PHELPS ![]() Gratitude Attitude While there is so much of this school year that has changed, there is still so much that has remained the same. Kindness, gratitude, and thoughtfulness still surrounds us. This time of the year is a built in reminder that we really do have so much to be thankful for. The outpouring of appreciation is undeniable and completely reciprocated. THANK YOU!
We have received so many wonderful treats this week. But I wanted to share a rather special one that we received today. Over three months ago, Avery Ramsower (3rd grade) and Emma Ramsower (1st grade) began working on a homemade project to show their appreciation for the BCE staff. How fitting that the completion of this project happened right before Thanksgiving. Today they delivered 90 "kindness candles" with a custom scent of essential oils. Notice the green color? This was strategically created to match Dr. Leonard's Green Glasses initiative. Perfect! I had to laugh when their mother shared that these glass jars were upcycled from yogurt containers . . . hence the 3 month project timeline. That's a lot of yogurt to eat! We can't wait to light them and reflect on the joy, comfort, and kindness that the BCE community continues to provide.
I am strongly encouraging the staff to use this time to unplug, unwind, and relax. I hope that y'all are able to do the same. We'll see you on November 30th . . . recharged, happy, and healthy.
All my best,
Tiffany Phelps ![]() ![]() ![]() TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD ![]() Do you have a student celebration that you would like to share with the BCE community? We'd love to hear about it! Submit here: Tell Me Something Good! SEND A STAFF MEMBER A SHOUT OUT SUGGESTIONS SOCIAL MEDIA BARTON CREEK NEWS ![]()
