Ms. Nelson not only decorates the walls, she decorates the ceiling, and areas on the floor. She leads and facilitates a group of different parent volunteers each year to make the BCE hallway an incredible artistic installation using of a variety of materials. Over the years, there have been small mushrooms less than foot to two feet tall decorating the floor, a shark floating in the ocean above our heads. This year was a variety of beloved video games like PacMan, Tetris, and Mario complete with PacMan ghosts hanging from the ceiling and Piranha Plants from Mario lining the hallway. Ginger's installations bring excitement for the book fair each year!

His advocacy for the well-being of our students is unwavering—even beyond school walls. He has shown this through his attentiveness and willingness to act when concerns arise, including a moment when he reached out to ensure my own children were safe while in another’s care. His words in that moment reflect the heart of who he is: “I am so thankful that I was there to be able to make sure they were safe. It’s a small world, but sometimes the universe aligns for little moments like that.” Matthew embodies the spirit of Eanes, bringing warmth, protection, and genuine care to every child he encounters.
