BRANDIS SMOLAND
Mrs. Smoland brings over 23 years of rich experience in early childhood education, having taught Pre-K through 3rd grade across multiple districts including Aiken County, South Carolina, Hutto ISD, and Dripping Springs ISD. She has earned multiple honors such as Teacher of the Year in both Hutto and Dripping Springs ISDs, as well as District Teacher of the Year in Dripping Springs. In Eanes ISD, she has served as an Instructional Coach, Assistant Principal, and now Principal. Dedicated to fostering a nurturing, child-centered environment, Mrs. Smoland prioritizes amplifying student voices and strengthening collaboration among staff and families. Her strengths in leadership, restoration, and strategic thinking empower her to support diverse learners and educators effectively. Her achievements include multiple Teacher of the Year awards, educational grants, and leadership in gifted and talented instruction, reflecting her passion for innovation, inclusivity, and excellence in education.

JOELLE BARNES
Mrs. Barnes has over a decade of experience as a special education teacher for grades K-5 and a classroom teacher for 4th and 5th grades, fostering a strong commitment to meaningful inclusion and differentiated instruction for every child. She established the special education program at the newest Austin ISD elementary school, selecting curricula for math, reading, and writing, implementing positive behavior support systems, and leading a team of 10 educators to align student needs with campus and district goals. Passionate about supporting novice teachers, she leads campus-wide mentoring focused on building relationships that enhance teacher capacity, authority, and autonomy. Recognized with the EANESpiration Heroes Award in 2025 for going above and beyond, she has also been a Teacher of the Year nominee multiple times, highlighting her dedication to creating a supportive and inclusive school environment.

ERIN WEBB
Ms. Webb brings over a decade of experience as both a special education and classroom teacher, which has deeply informed her understanding of diverse learner needs and fueled a passion for supporting the whole child. With a strong commitment to understanding the “why” behind behaviors, she transitioned into a behavior-focused leadership role on a large campus, developing expertise in supporting students with behavioral disabilities. She has successfully built campus-wide systems centered on connection, consistency, and proactive practices. A 2024 graduate of the Eanes Institute of Excellence program, she sharpened her instructional and coaching skills, earning the EANESpiration Educational Impact Award the same year. Her dedication to meaningful, inclusive education is also reflected in being named Teacher of the Year in 2014 and New Teacher of the Year in 2012 in Austin ISD.
